Everything you need to know about Kingdom Communities, Prayer Builders, Evangelism, Kingdom Groups, and how to get involved across Gauteng.
Gauteng Kingdom Communities (GKC) is a Kingdom Global Group initiative dedicated to establishing a network of Kingdom Communities across every suburb, township, university and hospital in Gauteng, South Africa. Over more than ten years, GKC has built more than 1,000 local Kingdom Communities — each one a Facebook or WhatsApp group anchored in a specific community — connecting thousands of believers to advance God's Kingdom across the province.
GKC operates across three spiritual layers: Prayer (the foundation), Evangelism (reaching out), and Discipleship (making multiplying disciples). These three layers work together to cover Gauteng for God's Kingdom.
Kingdom Global Group (KGG) is the overarching ministry behind GKC, with the vision of Advancing the Kingdom Globally. KGG focuses on building Kingdom Communities, equipping disciples, and partnering with Kingdom Church Global to see God's Kingdom advance across Gauteng and beyond. You can learn more at kingdomchurch.global.
GKC is building three fundamental spiritual layers across Gauteng:
🙏 Layer 1 — Prayer (The Foundation): Prayer Builders pray faithfully for their specific community, laying the spiritual groundwork for revival, healing, and transformation across Gauteng.
📢 Layer 2 — Evangelism (Reaching Out): Evangelism Leaders go into the highways and byways — prayer walking, doing community outreach, visiting hospitals, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ across every suburb and township.
📖 Layer 3 — Discipleship (The Crown): Kingdom Group Leaders start weekly discipleship groups that gather, grow, and multiply — raising up Kingdom Disciples who in turn make disciples across Gauteng and beyond.
Each layer builds on the one before it. Together, they form a complete Kingdom Community movement.
No — joining a Kingdom Community (KC), registering as a Prayer Builder, becoming an Evangelism Leader, or joining a Kingdom Group is completely free. GKC is a Kingdom movement, not a commercial organisation. If you want to support the work financially, you can donate at donate, but there is no requirement to do so.
The easiest first step is to find your local Kingdom Community. Use the search bar on the home page or browse the interactive KC Map to find the KC for your suburb, town, or institution. Then register to receive direct links to your local WhatsApp and Facebook groups.
Once you're in your KC, you can explore the three layers and decide how God is calling you to step up — as a Prayer Builder, Evangelism Leader, or Kingdom Group Leader.
A Kingdom Community (KC) is a local community of believers connected through a Facebook group and a WhatsApp group — anchored to a specific suburb, township, university, or institution in Gauteng. Each KC is a spiritual home base where believers pray together, share the Gospel, and support one another.
There are more than 1,000 Kingdom Communities across Gauteng, with the vision of eventually reaching every single community in the province — impacting more than 1,000,000 souls.
There are three easy ways to find your KC:
Once you find your KC, simply register on the website — fill in your name, phone number, email and the KC you want to join. You will receive direct links to your KC's WhatsApp and Facebook groups so you can join immediately.
Alternatively, you can search for your suburb on the home page and click the Facebook or WhatsApp join buttons that appear for your KC. Register here →
Yes! GKC actively encourages new KCs to be planted. If there is no KC in your suburb or community yet, you can register your area and GKC will help you establish a new Kingdom Community there. Reach out via the registration form and mention that you would like to start a KC in your area.
The vision is for every community in Gauteng to have its own Kingdom Community — your suburb is part of that vision.
Absolutely not. Kingdom Communities are not a church — they are a community movement. GKC works across churches and denominations, connecting believers in the same geographic community regardless of which church they attend. You join your KC in addition to your church, not instead of it.
A Prayer Builder is a believer who commits to pray faithfully for a specific community in Gauteng — usually the suburb or town where they live. Prayer Builders are the spiritual heartbeat of GKC, anchoring communities in intercession and building a province-wide prayer foundation.
Prayer Builders fulfil three roles:
The current goal is 51 Prayer Builder KCs — one for each Kingdom Community target area across Gauteng.
Click the "Become a Prayer Builder" button on the home page (in the hero section or in the Prayer layer). Fill in your name, contact details, and the community you want to pray for. GKC will connect you to that community's WhatsApp and Facebook group so you can start praying with others.
There are no requirements beyond a willing heart and a commitment to pray for your community.
A Prayer Walk is when a believer walks through their suburb or community physically, while praying — claiming streets, homes and public spaces for God's Kingdom. Prayer Walking combines intercession with physical presence, following the model of Jesus who "went throughout Galilee" and "went around doing good" (Matthew 4:23, Acts 10:38).
GKC records prayer walks on a cumulative map of Gauteng — showing every street that has been walked in prayer. You can submit your walk (via a GPX file from Strava or any fitness app) and watch your route appear on the live prayer map. Submit a prayer walk →
Go to the Prayer Walk page and upload a GPX file of your walk. A GPX file is the GPS route data recorded by any fitness or running app (Strava, Garmin, Google Fit, etc.).
To export a GPX from Strava: open your activity → tap ⋯ (more) → Export GPX. Then upload that file on the Prayer Walk page. Your route will appear as an orange line on the cumulative Gauteng prayer map.
The date is extracted automatically from the GPX file, and a Strava link is optional.
GKC's evangelism is modelled on Jesus — who "went throughout Galilee" and "went around doing good." Evangelism in GKC happens through six main expressions:
Click the "Become an Evangelism Leader" button on the home page or in the Evangelism section. Fill in your name, area, and your primary outreach focus (prayer walking, door-to-door, hospitals, digital, townships, or teams). GKC will connect you with an evangelism team in your area.
A Kingdom Group (KG) is a small, weekly discipleship group — a gathering of believers who meet together to grow in God's Word, live Kingdom values, and make disciples who in turn make disciples. Kingdom Groups are intentionally multiplying: every KG aims to plant new KGs until every community in Gauteng has one.
KGs are the third and crowning layer of GKC's vision — grounding the prayer and evangelism work in lasting discipleship that transforms families, communities, and ultimately the entire province.
A Kingdom Community (KC) is the broad digital community for a suburb or area — a Facebook and WhatsApp group open to all believers in that area. It is Layer 1/2 — prayer and connection.
A Kingdom Group (KG) is a smaller, more intensive face-to-face discipleship group that meets weekly in someone's home or venue. It is Layer 3 — going deeper in discipleship, accountability, and multiplication.
A KC is your community; a KG is your discipleship family within that community.
Visit the Kingdom Groups page and browse the map. Active KGs show as orange markers 🔥 — click any marker to see the meeting time and location and to request to join. You can also see which areas are requesting a KG (purple 🙏) or which homes are offering to host one (gold 🏠).
There are two ways to get started:
Once registered, GKC will be in touch to help you get started and connect you with discipleship resources.
Yes! Visit the Kingdom Groups page and use the "Offer My Home" form. Your home will appear on the map as a gold marker 🏠, showing believers in your area that there is a venue available for KG meetings. You can specify your capacity and available days.
GKC membership gives you a personal member profile, access to member-only features, and the ability to quickly join Kingdom Communities using your saved details. As a member, your participation is tracked so you can see which KCs you've joined and quickly find new ones near you.
Membership is available at membership.html. Basic participation (joining KCs, prayer walks, etc.) does not require membership.
No. You can join a KC, register as a Prayer Builder, become an Evangelism Leader, join or start a Kingdom Group, and submit prayer walks — all without being a member. Membership simply adds convenience and extra features for those who want a deeper level of connection and tracking.
After registering, the join links appear directly on the confirmation screen. If you missed them, go back to the home page, search for your suburb again, and click the Facebook or WhatsApp buttons that appear for your KC. You can also try signing in with your email on the home page to access your member profile and KC links directly.
